Heyyoo! Hope you are all doing well! Did most of you break the bank and take advantage of the VIB sale? I did, but I went with a different approach this time (NO makeup...trust me, it was hard). I focused all of my hard earned cash flow on skin care. For me, that is what matters most as I head into my 30's. No matter how much makeup I cake on my face - nothing will look good with bad skin. It is an investment for me.
Most of these products I have heard fantastic reviews from Stephanie, you MUST check her channel out. It is full of well-researched, intelligent and comprehensive reviews on the latest makeup and skincare products. She is one I trust whole-heartedly and have mentioned on here time and time again.
Two of these products I purchased much earlier, and most of them I have been testing out in the last couple of weeks. Leave a comment below on any particular products you would like to hear full reviews on and how they worked out of me.
As always, here are links to where I purchased them and a brief overview. Enjoy!

Price: C$131.00
Size: 1 oz
Claims: Good for all skin types. A retinoid oil that improves skin plumpness, fights the appearance of wrinkles, redness, and pores for clearer, younger-looking skin. It contains highly potent lactic acid to correct dullness, plump the look of lines, and exfoliate. It helps with hyperpigmentation, imperfections, visible signs of aging, brightening, smoothing, and clarifying. Free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates. Cruelty free.
* I have been using this regularly, and it is a part of my night time routine. I have noticed a huge difference (over time) in my skin clarity and decongesting my pores. Each morning I wake up with a fresh and smooth canvas. Lately I have 'upped my game' for chemically exfoliating and have noticed an even bigger difference when I apply this oil. Make sure to moisturize (I have not experienced any dryness because of my routine). The only down side? The unnecessary dye they add to show that this oil is used for night time (silly!).

Price: C$90.00
Size: 1 oz
Claims: An antioxidant rich and hydrating formula that preserves and heals your skin. It is said to restore a youthful glow and protect against environmental stressors and free radicals. Reduces fine lines, wrinkles, redness, and blotchiness, with an improvement in skin elasticity. Also has antimicrobial properties. Fast absorbing and no greasy residue. Cruelty-free, vegan, natural, organic, and does not contain gluten, essential oils, fragrances, or colorants. Also free of parabens, sulfates, and phthalates. Made of 100% Unrefined Sclerocarya Birrea (Marula) Kernel Oil.
* I have been using this on my face, neck and chest in the AM (especially this winter) for added hydration. It is fast absorbing like it claims (so it wears well under my makeup application), and it is excellent for hydration. My skin is noticeably softer! It is fantastic for moisturizing. Is it worth the price tag though? I don't think so, not for just a good moisturizing oil. I think I want added benefits for that dollar.

Price: C$147.00
Size: 1 oz
Claims: Good for all skin types. High potency, purified grade lactic acid treatment. Corrects dullness, plumps the look of lines, and exfoliates the skin. Reduces hyperpigmentation, imperfections, and the visible signs of aging. Brightens, clarifies, and smoothes. Cruelty free. Free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates.
*If there is one item you purchase, it is this. I originally thought the Drunk Elephant glycolic treatment would be the product that would make the biggest difference in my skin (due to the fact that I am combination/oily). However, this is perfection. I cannot say enough good things about this product, and I noticed a drastic difference the very next day. For me, it will still take time (from years of neglect), but my skin is much more smooth and clear because of this product. It does not dry me out with regular daily use. I am so glad to have found this product and to be able to start it while I am fairly young.

Price: C$112.00
Size: 1oz
Claims: A 12 percent glycolic serum for night that is refreshing, hydrating. It claims to refine and resurface skin by gently dissolving dead skin cells and supporting natural collagen production. It is a blend of glycolic, lactic, tartaric, citric, salicylic acids, and raspberry extract that claims to sink in easily and deliver effective and precise level of chemical exfoliation (without harsh side effects). Horse chestnut, bearberry, and white tea help calm, brighten, and protect. They also added cactus plant enzyme blend to reduce neurosensory irritation.
*I am not sure about this one. It is the one product I am on the fence for returning. I am going to test it further and give it more time, but I find this extremely drying. I have a friend that used this and she has very dry skin (so it is no surprise this product was not a hit with her skin), but for me I lean on the more oily side! And it is leaving me with patchy dry spots despite my hydrating skin routine. Also, I do not notice as much resurfacing effects as compared to the Sunday Riley Good Genes. I will reduce the amount of times I use this product and see if that helps. I did read you need to shake the product really well before use (which I never did), and also to alternate days when you are first starting out. We shall see.

Price: C$54.00
Size: 5.07 oz
Claims: Described as a hydrating, nourishing essence with a silky/non-sticky formula. Made with maple tree sap to prep the skin to better absorb products and increase their effectiveness. Also contains "nourishing botanical complexes", and ingredients with antioxidant properties to neutralize free radicals and support natural skin cell regeneration. A tidbit of info from Sephora's site: "Maple tree sap particles are almost the exact same size as our bodily fluids (even smaller than water) and enable the formula to easily absorb deep into the skin." Cruelty free.
*I love this so far; it is quick absorbing and hydrating. Has it improved the efficacy of my products? I am not sure yet and I need to use it more.

Price: $60.00
Size: 1 oz
Claims: Antioxidant rich, brightening serum containing vitamin C. Supports natural collagen production, brightens, minimize fine lines, defends from environmental aggressors and free radical damage. The formula lightweight and oil-free. Free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates.
*I was in need of a vitamin C serum, and originally was holding out for the Drunk Elephant version (it has been sold out in Canada for months). I am using this in the meantime. I have a few gripes with this product (the use of dyes, fragrances, etc).
Whew! Now that's a lot of skin care....and yet I am already scrolling through internet land at new products. I. Love. This. Stuff.
Have an amazing day, much love!! xo
