What I got for Christmas!

Hey guys, I hope you had a good holiday season and took some time for your self! I have a good feeling about 2016...but let's be honest, it is not hard to beat 2015 (that is one year I am happy to be done with!). This is a bit late, but here are a few things I got for Christmas from my family (they know me so well). I have a few extra skin care things, but I will save that for another post.
1 - Tarte - Eye Lash Curler + Lights, Camera, Flashes Statement Mascara
Price: C$22.00
(*I was in desperate need of a new one, my old eye lash curler was a wretched mess. Thanks mamma! *This was a holiday limited edition, however you can find their regular duo here).
Price: C$24.00
Size: .2 oz
Claims: Ultra pigmented, long wearing, velvety texture, and full coverage. The wand has an ergonomically slanted, soft applicator for precise application (no matter what the skill level).
*We will see about this, there is some mixed reviews. I have read that the thick formula makes it challenging to get a smooth outline...you can even see how "mousse-like" it is in the swatch.

Size: 12 x .053 oz
Claims: 12 brand new shades (lusters and mattes). Pigmented, blendable, and long-lasting.
*I kid you not...my fiance did not even know I wanted this. He got me the first one, and now the second....good man he is ;) He is the palette expert.

Size: .13oz
Claims: Described as a light, pinkish, nude cream. A rich and weightless formula, bold/saturated colour, and infused with a primer. Lasts up to 8 hours. 100% fragrance free.
*I have to agree with these claims. I am in love with this product, and I hope to get more colours from this range. The formula is SO comfortable on the lips! It was YouTube's TaraBabyZ who got me hooked on this one, thank you!!

Claims: Described as a satin, warm, golden, pink. Intensely pigmented, bold, light weight, moisturizing, gel formula.
*Also, another recommendation from TaraBabyZ (one of the only women I can trust to purchase something before swatching it!!) This formula is also another winner, and in a beautiful shade.

Size: .35 oz
Claims: Described as a opalescent sheer, cool white powder that mimics a moonlight glow. Captures, diffuses, and softens the look of the skin. There are "micron-size, color-correcting particles" - these are said to refract light, create transparent coverage, filter out harsh light, and refine skin's appearance.
*I think this one suits my fair skin tone the best, I am thinking I'll use it to brighten the under eyes...but hey....I might just brush this all over ma face. We'll see.

Size: 3 x .08 oz, and 9 x .04 oz
Claims: Features neutral, cool and warm quads. High pigment, long lasting, buildable, rich eye colour. Designed for eye contouring, highlighting, and defining to enhance eyes.
*This was one of those palettes I never bought myself, but secretly always wanted. I think it was the fact that I wasn't wiling to bite the bullet and dish out the money for all neutral and all matte shades. BUT when I unwrapped this I was so freaking happy (again, the fiance...he is right on the ball). I can't wait to create some looks with this!
The last two items are free samples (from GlamGlow and Dr. Brandt).
