I figured now was a good time to get this review up, I am taking it easy this weekend. A long work week has left me with a nasty cold, so the house renos are on hold! I used the entire set up until there was not a drop left, so I think I have a pretty good idea as to how these products perform. I bought all three in a set called "3 Little Wonders" (C$86.00), which is a good way to sample a decent amount of each (1oz per product), rather than committing to full size.

I will break down a mini review of each product, because truthfully I do not think I would repurchase all of them. You can decide what works best for your skin type (note: I have combination/oily skin).

Above, is a sample of each product so you can get an idea of what the formula is like for each.

Price: C$48.00 (for full size)

Size: 1.7 oz (full size)

Claims: Oil free and light weight. Gently exfoliates, minimizes dark spots, evens skin tone, prevents premature aging, hydrates, minimizes pores, refines texture, heals/restores skin, softens fine lines, and protects against environmental stressors.

Pros:

- Light weight, non-greasy

- Did not break me out

- Quickly absorbed into skin

- Very light scent, not over powering

- Layered well under makeup

Cons:

- Jar packaging does not allow some of the key ingredients to remain stable/effective

- I did not notice any change in fine lines, pores

- If you have dry skin I do not think this would provide adequate moisture for you (unless maybe during the summer time)

- No SPF protection (just something to be aware of, not necessarily a con)

- Be sure to read the full ingredient list, as some of them might irritate very sensitive skin (sandalwood, citrus, etc)

The Verdict:

I didn't mind this when I used it as a light weight moisturizer in the summer time, it was wonderful and not greasy at all. This product did not have any negative outcomes for me, but nor did I see a difference in my skin (in terms of the claims listed on Sephora's website).

Price: C$58.00 (for full size)

Size: 1.7 oz (full size)

Claims: Light weight gel texture. Supports natural cell turnover, improves fine lines and wrinkles, smoothes texture, minimizes blemishes, and seals in essential vitamins and minerals. The end result is a radiant and youthful complexion.

Pros:

- Very mild stinging compared to some other AHAs I have tried

- No adverse reaction, or drying of skin

- I noticed that while using this and the truth serum, there was a slight brightening in my skin tone

- Contained in a sealed jar with a pump

Cons:

- Unappealing smell (like stale glue)

- Leaves your skin sticky

- Contains fragrance (and not natural/plant derived, it is added)

- Did not improve fine lines, texture or blemishes

- The jar is clear, and should be stored away from light

- Contains some plant ingredients that might not work for very sensitive skin (citrus, lemon, etc)

The Verdict:

There are many other chemical exfoliators on the market, some of which you notice immediate effects. This one just didn't work for me and my skin. I have found the Dr. Dennis Gross peels to be amazing and I am looking forward to trying Good Genes Treatment by Sunday Riley as well!

Price: C$60.00

Size: 1 oz (for full size, which is the same size in the trio)!! Therefore, the trio is a cost effective way to trial the other products.

Claims: Brightening, nourishing, supports natural collagen production, minimizes fine lines, defends against environmental stressors and free radicals. Lightweight formula and oil free formula.

Pros:

- Contains two forms of Vitamin C and Vitamin E (which is said to improve the efficacy of the Vitamin C)

- Fast absorbing

- In a bottle with a pump

- I did notice some mild brightening in my skin

- Light citrus scent (pro and con)

Cons:

- Contained in a clear glass bottle (just keep away from sunlight)

- I did not notice any changes in fine lines

- Contains plant extracts that might bother very sensitive skin (grapefruit, orange extracts, etc)

- Contains added synthetic fragrance which counteracts their claim of supporting natural collagen production (since it causes collagen breakdown)

The Verdict:

Out of all the products in the trio, I enjoyed this the most. However, there are other C-serums on the market that have much better ingredients that I am looking forward to trying (ex: Drunk Elephant).

I hope this helps! I am on a journey to find products that work best for my skin and create a noticeable, positive difference. I am in my early 30's, so I am really trying to prevent the signs of aging and improve my skin's texture. Slowly but surely, I hope to build a skin care regime that works for me (so I can stop being a guinnea pig lol!). It is fun to try new products, but at the same time I hope to build a stable collection of ones that I will continue to repurchase. Until next time, xoxo!
