I have accumulated a few things, so it's time for a "check out my trash" post. Here are just quick mini reviews on products I have finished! My personal favourite - the L'Occitane Sublime Essence!!! The pros, the cons, and the vital question - "would I repurchase??" If you want more in depth reviews on anything let me know! All of this stuff has been purchased by yours truly. I will also try to include my skin and hair type - because what works for me, may not work for you. Much love! xxoo

1 - Bath and Body Works - Copacabana Coconut Gentle Foaming Hand Soap

Pros - Smells delicious!! I can't get over the scent. If you can find this on sale still at your B&BW go grab it!! Nice and foamy.

Cons - Not the best environmentally friendly ingredients. Vitamine E is supposed to soften hands (however you don't really notice this).

Verdict - Repurchase! (Let's be real, you are buying it for the cheaper price point and the scent).

2 - Bliss - Fabulous Foaming Face Wash

Price: C$28.00

Size: 6.7 oz

Pros - Love the light scent, not overbearing. Doesn't leave my skin feeling too stripped (I have combination skin leaning on the more oily side). Does the job, removes most makeup. Gentle exfoliation that can be used every day.

Cons - Not much "foaming" action. Contains micro-cleansing beads that provide minimal exfoliation.

Verdict - I got it on sale for $14 during Christmas season, I would not pay the full price. I am more interested in trying other cleansers on the market.

3 - Biotherm - Beurre Corporel

Price: C$37.00

Size: 200 ml

Pros - Smells like light citrus, not overpowering. Not a thick body butter, more of a light texture.

Cons - I do feel like this takes a minute to absorb (aka: you can't hop into your clothes or bed sheets right away). Unlike other reviews I did feel a bit greasy. It was good for my legs in the winter, however it was not moisturizing enough for my feet. I never used it on my upper body because of the oily feeling and I was worried I would break out.

Verdict - I will not repurchase.

4 - Skyn Iceland - Nordic Skin Peel

Price: $45.00

Size: 90 ml

Pros - Ok for every day use, not too intense. Pads are slightly textured and thoroughly soaked in product. Cooling and slightly tingling. Made my skin look much smoother, refined, and glowing. No irritation or reddening for me.

Cons - A lot of alcohol content, NOT for sensitive skin. Leaves a mildly tacky layer on face afterward.

Verdict - I would repurchase, however there are a lot of more advanced peels on the market today that I am interested.

5 - Garnier Fructis - Damage Eraser Strength Reconstructing Butter

Price: (cheap, I cannot remember...$4 approx?)

Size: 8.5 oz

Pros - The price. Thick product.

Cons - Not moisturizing enough for my thick and highlighted hair. You have to scoop it out of this tub with your wet fingers which is a pain because you lose some of the product. I have regular conditioners that works better than this. The smell might be synthetic and off putting to some.

Verdict - Not for me or my hair type.

6 - The Body Shop - Banana Conditioner

Price: C$10.00

Size: 250 ml

Pros - The smell. I can't explain how much I love it. Everyone said I smelt good at work. (If fresh ripe bananas is your thing... it sounds odd but it is delicious).

Cons - It did nothing. And I mean nothing. No conditioning, no de-tangling. It left my hair so coarse and dry. I also needed to use way too much of it because my hair is somewhat thicker and longer. (Claims it is for ALL hair types, however this can't be true).

Verdict - I wanted to love it, and the only reason I would repurchase it would be because of the scent.

7 - L'Occitane En Provence - Iris Angelica Sublime Essence

Price: £42.00

Size: 30 ml

Pros - I had about 6 of these samples and I will be ordering the full size ASAP. I cannot say enough about this. If there was one product to try on this page, this is it!!!! Great for all skin types. Fresh, sheer texture that absorbs SO FAST. Does not leave any residue. Instantly smoothes my skin and gives it a glow that lasts ALL DAY. Makeup applies over top perfectly. The first time I tried it I went to the stock car races sitting in the stands for hours in the sun, sweating. My face was not oily or sweaty at all, and it felt like velvet! The second time I wore it was to really test it out - on a hike. Same results. PERFECTION. My family and fiance all commented on how great my skin looked.

Cons - NONE.

Verdict - REPURCHASE.

8 - Healthy Sexy Hair - Soy Renewal Creme Oil with Argan Oil

Price: $22.00

I used this more so for an over night hair mask, rather than using it pre-styling. It was very nourishing and left my hair soft.

Verdict - Neutral, I would try it again.

9 - The Face Shop - Face Mask Mung Bean

Price: C$2.00

Pros - Cooling, non irritating, hydrating.

Cons - Slightly sticky, no noticeable effects.

Verdict - Pass.

10 - Fresh - Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream with SUper 7 Complex

Price: C42.00

Size: 1.7 oz

Pros - Smells like refreshing cucumber (might be strong for some people). Light weight, quick absorbing. Hydrating.

Cons - There was an ever so slight residue, I don't want to call it greasy (but there was something). I prefer their rose line (the gel cream is fabulous). I did not notice any difference in fine lines, maybe it is more of a preventative?

Verdict - I will not repurchase because I prefer the Fresh Rose Hydrating Gel Cream.
